THIRD GENERATION

24. Ransome Jay ASH ⁽¹⁾⁽²⁾ was born on 12 Nov 1891. He died in Sep 1967. He was buried in Prairie Mound Cemetery, Butler, Day Co., SD. He had Social Security Number.

63 iii. Lila Mae ASH^{(1) (2)} was born on 18 Oct 1916 in Butler, Day Co., South Dakota. She died on 5 Sep 1934 in Butler, Day Co., South Dakota. She was buried in Prairie Mound Cemetery, Butler, SD. Lila Mae Ash was born October 18, 1916 at Butler, S. Dak., where she spent her entire life. Here she attended school through the grades and three years of high school. She would have entered her senior year this fall. She took an active part in various phases of school life and willingly devoted her many talents to school activities.
About ten days ago she was taken ill with flu and complications developed which refused to yield to medical treatment. She was removed away Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 5, at the age of 17 years, ten months, and eighteen days.
She leaves to mourn: Mr. and Mrs. Ransome J. Ash and two brothers Arden and Cyrillo of Butler; her grandparents, Mrs. L. M. Ash of Butler, Mrs. Ida Stevens of Bristol, Frank Stevens of Sulphur Springs, Florida, and a host of relatives and friends.
Her mother preceded her fourteen years ago. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the R.J. Ash home. southwest of Butler. Rev. E.T. Jensen officiating, and burial was made in Prairie Mound Cemetery.
