being in a coma for two days. He had had surgery on August 31, 1954, when they

on November 29, 1944. He was killed on February 7, 1950, in Riceville, Iowa,
when a train hit his truck. He was 26 years old.
Paul Charles was born on May 29, 1925. He graduated from Rochester
High School. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was
discharged in 1946. He married Ora Flury on March 22, 1947. He was
a farmer, substitute mail carrier, and part-time employee
at the Starlite
Outdoor Theater. They had eight children. Paul died on April 10, 1971,
of cancer at the age of 45.
He was married to Martha Pauline SCHWANKE (daughter of
Frederick William SCHWANKE and Leontine Pauline RIEGE) on
20 Oct 1920. Martha Pauline SCHWANKE was born on
19 Sep 1898. She died on 24 May 1977. She had Social Security Number 469-42-1037.
