7. William (Wilhelm) STOPPEL was born on 18 Apr 1859 in Olmsted Co, MN. Birth Certificate: 1933-MN-020782 He died on 7 Sep 1933. He has reference number 1.1.6. William (born April 18, 1859) married Bertha Knusel (born December 23, 1868) in 1890. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Knusel who settled at Salem Corners in 1855. William and Bertha farmed for several years in Rochester Township and then moved to Minneapolis where their four children were born: Lulu, Ruth, Doris, and Paul. William died on September 7, 1933, at the age of 74. Bertha died on September 29, 1945, at the age of 77.

Lulu was born on August 15, 1891, and married William Loftus in Minneapolis. There were no children.

Ruth was born on July 12, 1894, and married Bert Anderson in Omaha, Nebraska. There were no children.

Doris was born on December 15, 1903, and married Gene Satherlie in Chicago, Illinois. There were no children.

Paul was married in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and had one daughter,
Georgiana.

He was married to Bertha KNUSSEL in Oct 1888. Recorded in the 5 Oct 1888 Record & Union (Newspaper) pg. 3 col 4. Bertha KNUSSEL was born about 1859. She died. Lived in Salem Township and after marriage moved to Minneapolis in ca 1901. William (Wilhelm) STOPPEL and Bertha KNUSSEL had the following children:
